Hi all Well the question is "ebay good or not" I have tried several times to make my million on ebay but alas im still poor .Why is that? I source Products/Goods at resonable prices and away I go,Then i find someone selling the same product cheaper than I can buy it for, ok so by now you are saying I should have done my homework. Well i did! But people are always finding it elsewhere cheaper... Then you have the fee's dont they just creap up and up with out you really taking in to account how much you actually spend with ebay. Then theres the anoying non payers and the amount of time and effort you need to goto to get your listings fee's back! Well thats my experience of them So the question is EBAY GOOD OR NOT ? I look forward to your replies Thanks Mark |

Alright, EBay can be quite useful even if you are outsourcing products. The best way to buy and resell is to buy in bulk. Now, the only problem is, you want to purchase a product that can be afforded, advertised, and attractive. You may want to look away from relying on outsourcing. A business that I think can work quite well is if you know how to make your own t-shirts. You can either use type where you iron on or you can look into using a service like Cafe Press. T-shirts can never really go bad, and you can always just order or print the design when needed. Try to look at all of the options, and develop a business plan on how your product will be unique. EBay Businesses can work out; you just have to research your options. |

If you were on top of whats hot at different places on the internet...like myspace, youtube, squidoo...etc...then you could be making on the fly products and hitting a market quickly and ....free... with what you have. Cafe Press is a little pricey...but just stick with an in demand thing and the price could be justified... |

Cafe Press is a little pricey, but when you think about it, most t-shirts cost around $12 or so with name brands. With making your own T-shirts, I think the cost is around $8.95 or so, I haven't looked in a while, but I don't think it is too much more than that. If it is a nice design, it can work out quite well.

Another avenue with Cafe Press is the ability to have items created that promote your business. If you own a website, then you could have items created with your domain name on them. These could be sold or given away as promotional items. I know of forum owners who use this to boost member activity. They have a popular forum and an "official" item from the forum store given to them for a contest, reward, referral incentive...etc. really seems to excite them. I do like this idea...and will probably use it someday... |

Yes, forum owners may use them for various things. Store and shop modules work out nicely if a forum owner has a nice gift that they want to give away, even if it is something cheap, they can add their unique look to it by adding their logo. It all depends on the type of forum; a forum that is intended for business use could offer items like coffee mugs, while forums for clans could have t-shirts. It is an incentive that keeps members active.

Ebay is an excellent way for selling products online. Of course a lot of people use ebay as a tool for selling too and you should take that into consideration. Learning the tricks of the trade will land you a good income in ebay or elsewhere.

I'm all set up on ebay to sell collectibles but haven't started yet. It seems very time consuming and somewhat risky. Collectible items appear to sell very cheaply so I don't know if there would be much profit. I'm still thinking about it. Some folks say they are making a lot selling on ebay and others say they don't make much if anything. |

E-bays heyday seems to have passed away. It's not only you, it's really hard to make some serious buck in ebay unless you've got a really unique product. I been surfing ebay for bargains but found out its better to visit online stores since they are often listed much cheaper there. Try it, find a particular item, like Teva sandals, in ebay and then go check out the manufacturer's site. |

I've tried selling on eBay a couple of times, but didn't have much money to put into it. I think that's the key... if you can't afford much to start with, eBay probably isn't the best place to start a business.
