Default Demanding clients

How do you deal with demanding clients or partners who seem to think they're the only ones you're in business for? We have this one partner who constantly calls us for every little thing rather than let us get on with the work.

Hi,

If that partner is Worth then please answer all his questions, if the partner didnt promote your product, they must have lots of questions to ask to you, once you have to create a PDF file with all the details or answer all his questions. Once you answered all of his questions, he will start to promote your business.

Agreed. It's a tough situation when they are very demanding of your time. The best course is to try to answer all their questions and keep them happy. You should try the angle of educating them as much as possible if you can. This can be a slippery slope sometimes and may bring on more questions, but if they begin to learn to do for themselves, the workload may decline and they will feel better about the relationship.

You may want to either buy Camtasia, or get wink for free. They're screen presentation tools and are really keen at making support and training videos. You may want to give that avenue a shot....

Sometime you have to just tolerate these clients because you never know what the real potential of the client is at the first stage. But once you continue to entertain him for some time it should become clear to you what to do from here on.

Just work through it. I have turned away demanding clients with huge negative effects. Sometimes they will post on forums about your "bad company", tell their friends about your service (in a negative way), and more. However, if it is a significant time / financial loss, then cut them loose. Good luck.

I agree with what entrepreneur has said. Clients who are demanding may bring huge negative effects, however it demands on our abilities to deal with the situation. If you are able to deal effectively, resolve any queries they may have, they will speak highly of the company and spread positive news.

The greater the risk the greater the reward. But most of the time it is very hard to deal with these clients and thus will result in financial loss.

This all boils down to how skilled and prepared one is for these type of situations. Of course, it's going to get irritating but in business we have to deal with this at times. The key is not letting it go extremely far, as it will crash, this is my opinion. Some people I have to lay it down to as I try to continue helping them, and sometimes they want what isn't fair. If it's not equally fair, I'm not going to do it. Simple as that. I do my best to tolerate this stuff but there always comes that one point in time.
