Default Suing a Company in Another State

I am having some troubles with a company that owes me money and not paying and they are in another state. Any advice you guys can give would be helpful...

You might want to check the laws and rules of that state with an attorney.

You could go to the Bar Association in the state where the company is and ask them for advice.

What about calling around to some of the local colleges in that state and seeing if they offer some kind of program where you can pay a grad student to assist you in fighting the case where you represent yourself???

Okay...that was a really long sentence~~Breathe Jillian...breathe!!

So have you exhausted all resources?
Gone to upper management?
Do you have a papertrail of all evidence and correspondance with that company?
Do you have a leg to stand on?

I would be prepared ~~ no matter what avenue you take with this. Don't wait too long though...that's not good either.

Good comment, April. Sometimes there are alternate solutions to the problem that may be more cost effective and possibly even reveal a simple error that can be fixed to everyone's satisfaction.

And most certainly if you can't prove anything, you might just as well not waste your time.

Depends on the dollar amount. Every state is different with theor own rules.
