Has anyone ever been scammed by your attorney when dealing with a case??

Depends on what you mean by scammed. I have felt over charged before. That can especially suck when you are in the middle of a case.

I think there are a lot of hidden fees involved when dealing with attorneys. They seem to tack on extra costs for everything. Same goes for the accountant. Whenever I get the invoice from them, it's outrageous.

I guess I've been lucky to not get "scammed" by any attorneys. I've always used attorney's that are referrals from friends. They've been good...

Can't say that I have, but I do know that you can't trust them. It's always what's in it for them. Don't get me wrong now, there are definitely some honest ones out there, but good luck in finding them...

All I know is that anytime I have had any dealings with my attorney...it ends up being hundreds of dollars later and that's just for a quick question or letter to write up. I would contact the state bar association and get their recommend on attorney's in the area that have an impeccable reputation.
