If you're running a business that has something to do with selling motorcycles, would you give your employees additional incentives for reaching or surpassing the sales target? If yes, how much percentage should we give them? |

For any sales endeavor, providing incentives is a must. Incentive systems motivate your sales force. On the query of how much to give, this should be reckoned with your expected sales profit and your business plan.

Your post was made a long time ago, but the questions will remain relevant for a long time. Sales incentives are paid when targets are met or exceeded. The amount of incentives is determined by the profit of the different items that are pulled in and by what you want to sell more. A business plan directly has very little to do with your sales incentives. However, an important function of a sales incentive is to keep the sales force competitive between themselves. |

Another thing that employees appreciate is recognition for work well done or extra achievements accomplished. While a sincere 'Thank you' is a great start, people like to see their name up in lights. Employee of the Month certificates and a Wall of Fame makes the deserving employee feel appreciated and inspires them, as well as others, to even do more in the service of the company. Monetary incentives coupled with recognition will go a long way to creating loyalty in your staff. Tula |
