Default Income Tax Return

For the work at home moms: Do you file your income tax return? I just wonder if there is someone who works full time online and pays it religiously. What income do you declare? What benefit do you get from it?

I'm a WAHM and yes, I do file my taxes. It's the law. I don't mess with Uncle Sam

I declare all of my income but my expense list helps me out too. So, generally, my tax bill is pretty low. This year, I'll have to get an accountant to help me with tax savings strategies. I'm expecting growth into the next tax bracket and would rather keep more of the profits for myself.

Yes I will be filing taxes for my business that I have started. I think it is important to do so. And this is especially true if you are making a good income. You can, of course, use business expenses and such which lowers your actual taxable profits.

I always have mine filed by someone else. It is about a $20 fee, so it isn't too bad. I think I got $300 back this year. Have only seen $4 so far, from state taxes.

Now just waiting for the other $296...

I am just a new WAHM. I have just started to earn online. I never knew that I should also file my income tax return. Thanks for this thread. What should I do first?

Actually, until you make $600, I didn't think that you had to file income taxes. Of course, we would all hope to make more than $600 in a year's time.

I get a 1099 form with my home-based business so I really don't have a choice, but even if I did I would always be honest with what I make.
