Default nth month pay

13th month pay is one of the money that we receive during the Christmas season and it is mandated by the law. However, some companies tend to receive more such as 14th month pay or even up to 16th month! How will a company be able to give up to these months?

The 13th - 16th month are usually extra bonuses. Companies who made huge profits the past years are just passing on the benefits to their employees. Makes for motivated and loyal workers and a sound business practice.

I see. But I think the 13th month pay is different because the law mandates it. I hope that all companies would be generous enough to give more bonuses to their employees. After all, the success of the company depends on the employees.

Exactly. Companies who operate on the principle that everybody is expendable runs the risk of losing their best assets, their good employees. It's getting difficult to find good workers these days. Succesful business understands that they have to keep their people happy...

Huge companies usually give 13-15th month pay to their employees. Especially if the employee is an asset to their company. Part of the company's success is the manpower. And employees should be well taken care d of by the employers this is one way to motivate them.

Is this bonus pay mandated by country law. I don't think we have that in the States. I could be wrong, but I've never received it if we do
