Default Do you pay for taxes?

When we receive our payment for the online services that we do, do you include it in your income that is taxable? I pay for the taxes for my regular work but I do not include the payment I receive from online work. Is it illegal to do so?

I think it's not illegal. I'm not sure though. I have other friends who earn from online services and I haven't heard any of them mentioned about taxes. Try to ask someone who knows a lot when it comes to these things. Better be sure than sorry.

When a local consultant in a foreign country is paid by a U.S. company is dollars, the said amount is longer taxed in that particular country since the payment was already taxed in the U.S. I think it works the same with online payment, especially if it does not involve large amounts. But it does not hurt to give something to the government.

Thanks for all the responses. I am feeling more relieved because I haven’t paid the government a single cent ever since I started with online money making opportunities. It does hurt to give something to the government especially if you don’t know if they are using the funds to serve your country.

That's one reason why people skimp on their taxes, even large companies. But if less is given, it means a lot less will be allotted for important programs like health and education. What hurts more, aside from corrupt officials, is that big businesses are not taxed properly while the ordinary earner is squeezed for all his worth.

I agree with you. It should have been the bigger companies that would pay for their taxes right. I think there are a lot of allocation for education and health but just the same, the officials that are suppose to manage the fund keeps the money for themselves.

Although I live in Canada, I do receive checks from Clickbank for a few affiliate sales. Since I run a business, I claim it as income on my taxes.
