For a home business owner how much important is it to know the legal related issues while running a small home business. Because unless a user has knowledge on legal matters most people do not posses enough legal knowledge.

Well, I am always researching legal matters. I feel as much knowledge that I can gain on legal matters will in the long run save costs and allow me to act as my own defense in such cases. There's always the occasional company that wants to argue the right you have to send them demand letters and act on your own behalf. They will then tell you to have your lawyer contact them. That is when I send out another demand letter from the same e-mail address. If they don't cooperate, they can suffer the consequences.

Doing what is right from the beginning is very important to avoid any problem in the future. At first, you may come off pretty well even if you are doing something illegal but there will still come a point when you can be sued for it.
