I have to agree with Jamison on this one. I would wait it out. They haven't been doing a very good job with their reputation management efforts. If they do not get this under control soon, it could be the demise of DubLi.

| Good luck with that Jamison...you are smart to weigh all options.

Unfortunately, it is somewhat easy for false claims and libel to be posted about innocent companies. There need to be new laws or something. It is not right that this is allowed to continue. |

Hi Jamison, I've been following your dubli investigation for awhile now, not just on your sites, but on the 'toxic' sites as well. I am a dubli rep. I joined in February. I have a couple of sites to promote dubli - I know that you are aware of at least one of them, you joined it. I've built a pretty good team and I have easily found many customers (many being relative and in this case meaning as a % of money and time used to attract them). Things are going fairly well. But I'm getting tired of fighting the negative. I haven't done what you did - take the boneheads on at their own sites. (You did a tremendous job, btw.) But I have posted rebuttals on my sites and on other more neutral forums out there. But it just doesn't go away. I've bought four items on dubli and friends and family have purchased at least 10 other items that I know of. They were all delivered quickly (with one exception - a gift card that my friend bought took almost 2 weeks to get to him) from Arizona. We all got great deals, even when taking the cost of the credits into account - as you should do) and we - GASP - used credit cards to purchase them. This kind of experience is usually good enough to get a site over the 'scam' hump. So, two things: 1) What is dubli going to do to counter this crap? have you heard anything? and I2) Will you teach competitor dubli reps how to do SEO? i don't know why you would, but i thought I'd ask. |

I've been working it part time but have built a nice organization. I've also got some customers who have purchased (some multiple times) and who have referred other customers to me. Dubli makes this easy - there is a 'Tell a Friend' button on every page after you register - if a customer (who probably knows nothing about the business side) uses that s/he'll get free credits when the referred friend buys credits (and I get a new customer). It really is working for me and my team. And it really hasn't started yet. Its a lot of fun, too. |

For right now, I am waiting to see if DubLi will make the right decisions in dealing with the problem. From what I have seen so far, I am very disappointed. A serious reputation problem that gets out of hand can have a severe negative impact on a business. I have watched companies go out of business over reputation problems on the Internet. I don't have the time right now to teach SEO. I am so busy with a couple of projects that I can't even seem to find time to visit this forum. If you want to begin heading in the right direction, I would recommend building some inbound links to your site. Try to keep your site updated as much as possible as well. There really isn't much "real" competition out there. Thank you again for your comments. |
