The DubLi shopping portal was launched today! It is what I thought it would be. It is like a giant rewards program. The DubLi shopping portal will save you money on the things you buy from places you already shop. The savings and rewards are in addition to what you get with your credit card.

Just a curiosity question for you: Why is it called a shopping portal? Why not shopping mall?

Personally, I don't like when they call it a mall. That is old-school. These are not shops. This is a portal that saves people money. I think it should be called a "savings portal" myself. I may be on a conference call with a few of the main guys here pretty quick. Hopefully, I can get them to see the light.

Savings Portal appears to be more indicative of what it actually is... but on the other hand, it may create confusion in new users. It takes a bit of a mental leap to go from savings to shopping until AFTER you understand the savings you will enjoy by shopping through the Dubli Shopping Portal.

Hmmm. You have a point. In my mind, right now people are looking to save money. When they hear "savings portal", hopefully they would be curious about how they can save money. You are not actually shopping at the DubLi site, you end up shopping directly at the merchant.

I think shopping portal is a much better choice than mall. I think "mall" has a negative connotation on the Internet and it is not what this is.

When I think of a shopping mall, I think about driving 10 minutes away to go to the local mall in my area where I can walk around to all of the stores. I realize that people can "shop" all kinds of different products and companies on DubLi~so I think a savings portal sounds like the right name instead.

Saw this testimonial on DubLi's site from someone that had purchased something from DubLi and had a great experience.
