You could try putting Google AdWords or Yahoo Publisher ads into the site. Another idea might be to become an affiliate with Amazon, then perhaps get a booklist for the upcoming semester and offer the books on your site. With Amazon, I believe that you earn referral fees if visitors purchase used books from the third parties listed on Amazon. You could try offering an incentive for students to purchase their books through your site. Just some thoughts. Researching a listing books might be more time and trouble than it's worth depending on your situation. Best of luck ~

In fact most forum users tend not to like adverts in the forum. Your best bet is to sell your links or to do banner advertising or to make some money of the trading that seems to take place on the site. A bit like eBay on a much lower scale and your users will love the idea of selling their stuff. You also need to revive your blogs as well, they work well with AdSense. FFMG |

You could sign up for linkshare or commission junction and put ads on the site for textbooks.com, dell, and other things that College students need and are looking for.

ok, so I added google adsense to my forum over at beaverchat.com. and...... already i earned some money! (which I won't post the amount due to breaking the ToS). wow, I'm surprised. and I got to wondering, will google adjust the numbers at the end of the month or something? because at this rate, I'm sitting pretty.
