Default Advice with website

I have no experience with website building, but don't want to pay 1000's of dollars to have someone do it for me. I want a simple website with infomation only for now. How can I go about designing it myself. Is there a good service that offer templates that I can addd my own text and pictures to it for little cost. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Louise

It is not a big job.
Use Frontpage r nvu to build our site.
Both are Wysiwyg editors.

I use Nvu and it does perfectly fine for me. It's free and easy to use as well.

I write sites from scratch. I 've been doing websites for 10 years. I have some you can look at. I tryed front page and all the prefabs and nothing stays the way you put it when you upload so I went to the code much better job. I do web sites for low income people for lots less than the so called web page companies. Pm me and I 'll show you where to look

I used Site Build It for my site...

Because I knew absolutely nothing about HTML, and they take care of everything such as building the page, submitting to search engines, keyword placement for great search engine placement and even help you monetize your site. they do a lot more, but its too much to list here!

You should check it out, sitesell.com

They also have a lot of case studies you can look at.
