Default Anti Virus

I wonder what anti virus software you installed on your PC? In my case I have been using Grisofts's AVG for quite sometime now. It is free and it is automatically updated everytime new data files are available. It is light and not so resource hungry.

I am using NOD32, I like it way better than Grisofts's AVG because it doesn't make my computer freeze unlike AVG. I used to use AVG before but then I was forced to uninstall it because I find it a bit annoying because it always froze my computer. Although some people said AVG is better than any other free/trial softwares. My NOD32 registration is good for 40years by the way

I am using Norton Antivirus. I liked it. Norton is best because it traps all malicious activities and also none of the new viruse can infect the norton files. it has a self protection in it.

Norton is good but definitely not the best among all anti virus software, I used to use that software too and I do think it just the same as my NOD32. Just my opinion

An anti-virus should be keeping the PC virus free and at the same time should be bog the system down. I feel Norton takes too much of system resources. You can try aVast, which is good. I am using it for many months now and have absolutely no problem.

With free anti virus softwares, you can't and you shouldn't expect your computer be free with virus threats. I think the one that needs to be paid yearly are the ones that's really efective.

I'm not much of a techie when it comes to virus defense so I'm just following the layered defense doctrine pushed by some. I've Avast, ewido, and Bitdefender 8 free version installed. Free antiviruses are great, I've never had a major infection and I'm crossing my fingers it'll stay that way.

I use AVG. I have had quite a bit of hack attempts and viruses try to pass through AVG, none have succeeded yet. I hope it stays that way, which I'm pretty sure it will since I have been using AVG for quite a few years now. Everyone that is in a high position on a major site that face the risks of attacks all use AVG and it succeeds in keeping them online as well.

I've been using ZoneAlarm with Antivirus for what must be almost a year now , and I have had no problems with it at all. It uses ComputerAssosiate's antivirus engine, and has detected two 'viruses so far,' they were just websites that had mal intentioned scripts in them and it stopped them, so all in all, I feel it's a good a/v. To top it all off, you know you have one of the best (in my opinion) firewalls around to add those extra layers of security. I'm also a believer in the motto that the best form of virus protection is the user themselves, though I can see how in certain situations, this is not always possible.

I've also used zonealarm for a while. It's a good firewall and antivirus. Problem was it kept blocking access to files in our LAN. I tried to tweak it but does not seem to work. So I just uninstalled it for good. Glad to hear it worked for you.
