$6 per 100? So they charge 6%, paypal is 3% plus 0.30 per transaction. That seems to be a lot cheaper unless you do a lot of small transactions. I do not have any experience with sending money to different countries so I can not speak about that.

I have used paypal for a long time, and I have never had any problems. I have heard of one person that had a problem but that was because they were trying to buy some things illegally. So I guess it works in those cases. I plan on continuing to use it becuase it works so well for me.

I use paypal as well, it is great no hassles. They charge a conversion fee if you are converting from a differnent currency to another.

The only stories I have heard of paypal freezing accounts is for scammers if they have scammed cash and the other party reports it to paypal and orders a chargeback.

Apart from that it is great.

Paypal charges $5 extra ,if one requests for cheque payment from India. The another problem is Indians should have $150 in their account for withdrawal request.I am from India and it creates a big problem for me.

Damn I feel sorry for you rani. Is it $150 USD? That’s a tad bit expensive. I’m here in Australia the limit here is roughly $73 USD. You can also withdraw money if you don’t have the exact money but it isn’t $5 extra its something like $2 USD not sure I’ll double check but what you described early that’s expensive.

Paypal is the best.
They charge $5 when you call for a check , the withdrawal limit is minimum 150$ and maximum 500$.

There are no transaction fees in case of personal account but there are sending and receiving limits in case of it.

In case of premiere/business accounts, they charge 0.30$+3-4% per transaction fees when you received money from someone else, but no charges when you send someone else.

Hope its clear

My last payment via Paypal from someone to me was $13.50 and they cut a commission of $0.81 from it. I thought that was a bit excessive. The weird thing is that if you have an ordinary account - they do not deduct this amount - but then you cannot receive CC payments on it.
If anyone knows of a better option - do let us know

Unless you are doing a lot of business, Paypal is the best way. The other options is getting your own merchant account for your website. The fees are generally cheaper, but there is a set up fee and possibly some other fees involved. You can get a better rate you just need see if you are doing enough business to warrant spending money on getting a merchant account.

I have been using Paypal for a few years now and have not had any troubles. I have heard of people having promblems with Paypal if they sell items on eBay only. When you accept credit cards, you have to have a premier account with them and they will charge you for this.
