I am looking into getting a home theater system for my basement. I am thinking of going with one of the following 2:

Panasonic - HT730S - $450
- 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS Surround Sound
- Built in DVD Audio Decoder
- Multi Format Playback
- Reciver with built in Disc DVD Changer
- 800 Watts Total Power

Sony - HTDDW870 - $450
- 600 Watt Reciver (100 W per channel)
- 155W Powered Sub with 8in Driver
- Dolby Digital EX, DTS-ES, Dolby Pro Logic II Decoding
- 755 Watts Total Power
- 20-20 KHz Frequecy response

If anyone knows of a better system, or a better deal on the products above, please tell me, I would really appriciate it.

btw...I am looking for:

Any Ditgial Decoders (built in prefferably)
minimum 5.1 system
Preferably with a reciever
Any Wattage, as long as the sound is good
Not looking to spend more than $500 CAD with taxes and shipping costs.

They both sounds like some nice stuff. Wish I could have some money to get some. Not sure what all the stuff is but I always have liked sony stuff better. But I am not sure if it has surround sound. If it doesn't then I would go with the Panosonic.
