I am a GDI affiliate. I joined as part of an MLM I joined. I did quite well to start (sponsored over 200 people). I've stopped promoting it now but they still pay me every month. I make about $300 a month pure residual for doing absolutely nothing and I haven't even logged into my account for over 4 months. That's a success story. Didn't make me a millionaire but it's paying regularly every month. $300 is $300, I'll continue to pay their $20 a month "fee" for ever (I bought two domain packages off them for $10 a month). Bit of a no brainer I suppose. Hard to promote though.

I think that is often the problem with these, Baz. Hard to promote. It's an example of one of the companies where you needed to be in at the beginning to make the big money.

I know with the company that I'm with, promotion is not an issue. I guess the 2 main reasons for that is the flagship product works so incredibly well that everyone knows someone who not only needs it, but they're going to feel the benefits in a very short period of time... sometimes even within a week, although 5 or 6 weeks is more the average. That means you get a lot of additional referrals and you get very loyal, repeat customers.

The other reason is that to be successful you don't have to sponsor hundreds of people since the company provides customers from which you can earn lifetime commissions.

And where have you heard of a company whereby you can skip over 4 levels in the payment plan so that you can qualify for leadership bonuses overnight?? 60% instead of 30%??

Anyways... I haven't looked at GDI for a long time, but I recall when I did look at it... I realized there was just no way that I would do well enough with that for all the work it was going to take to make it worth my while.

In fact, you're the first person I've heard of outside of heavy hitters who have done much with it at all... so kudos to you! $300 purely residual income is nothing to sneer at even if you still need other income streams.

Thanks. I did all this just last year though so in my case it wasn't a "got in early". The way I see it is that domains and website services will continue to be popular until they close the internet down. If people are going to buy domains and hosting I think their price is fair. They have a really good website builder and I think it's an ok solution for people looking for a website and hosting company.

I didn't even look into leadership commissions. Maybe I should. I also forgot to mention that the business is still growing without me. I get new sign ups regularly and it always surprises me. It's the perfect business (nothing to do at all ever once the sale is made) and another thing I like about it is that once people have a website all they need is to make it pay more than the $10 a month (adsense?) and they are clients for life.

My main problem is it will probably not get me into my 1 million a year passive income goal (this year) so I need to think bigger and wider.
