Well, having the site blacklisted is the price of using unethical SEO campaign. Black SEO strategy is the easiest way of getting a higher ranking in the search engine results page but for a very short period of time. After that, you get banned.

There are some instances that even if you are using some of the unethical SEO techniques, the site is not banned. However, you are buried in the search engine listing--deep enough in order not to be found by internet users. As a result, you don't get any traffic much as any return on investment. Doorway Web Pages

A doorway page is often confused with landing page but the difference lies in the purpose and the content. Doorway pages are usually created for the purpose of driving traffic for the real site. They are usually containing keyword-rich contents that are nonsense. The content is purposely made for search engine spiders so that the real site can gain higher ranking organically. The content does not only contain text but also anchor text which links are leading the internet users to the main site. However, this spam technique is considered outdated because this is detectable by search engines already.

Mirror Websites

This technique is characterized by sites with the same content which URLs are different. Before, this is ideal for achieving higher ranking. But recently, search engines are getting smarter. This technique is considered cheating and so the site the uses this method would be blacklisted.

Cloaking

This is the most effective web marketing spam technique and the most “sinful” because you are deceiving both the internet users and the search engine crawlers. This technique is characterized by serving different web content for the internet users and another different web content for search engine crawlers; the users would see a beautifully designed websites, much appealing to the eyes and the search engines would see the same content differently because what it can only see are well-optimized texts which are keyword-rich.

Invisible Text/Graphics

This is quite similar to cloaking. But the difference resides on the method used. This works wherein the text has a very similar color to the background, making the text invisible to the readers. What shows to the readers are well-written copy but there are actually invisible keyword stuffing that is infused in the page. According to an expert vanguard of ethical SEO, some designers create a “graphic link that is composed of 1 pixel by 1 pixel raster image.” The image is linked to “a hidden inner page such as hidden sitemap.”

Although, there are some internet marketing experts that are actually experts of cheating and makes the web marketing race dirtier than ever. They tend to spam your site by optimizing your site unethically. Yes, they do spend time and effort in optimizing your site the wrong way so that your site gets blacklisted. However, there are some ways how to prevent this thing to happen.
