Hey you guys~ I just came across Clark Howard's website and it offers tons of valuable insight and warnings about scams of all kinds. Below are just a few of them. Is there a number on your caller ID or cell phone with a vaguely familiar area code? Don't dial it back -- it could be lure in an international calling scam! Is online currency trading a good way to get rich quick? No way, says Clark. Bogus virus warnings that actually load a virus on your computer when you click on them?! Yes, that's scareware! California is cracking down on bogus telemarketing firms that seek donations to help police and firefighters, but then pocket the money themselves. Con artists are posing as credit card fraud investigators on the phone in an effort to steal sensitive account information. Facebook has become a new breeding ground for get-rich-quick schemes. SmartMoney magazine has compiled a list of 5 hot work-at-home scams of the moment. |

Nice...thanks! I have seen him on TV before. He has his own show on financial advice and how to save money. I really like him, but I've never checked out his website before. |
