Default Federal Trade Commission

The official Federal Trade Commission site--Bureau of Consumer Affairs has a lot of great information and articles on how to avoid being scammed and ripped-off. They have seen it all.

Good reference to have. The other sites that I think would be helpful are the 3 credit bureaus. Since identity theft is a problem today, I think the credit bureaus have some great tips.

You should request to get a free copy of your credit report to make sure that there isn't any illegal stuff going on that you don't know about.
