Default Brad Callen and PPC Classroom Promotion Scam

Just wondering if anyone else got scammed by those two as well ?
Brad had this promotion on PPC Classroom offering 2 of his products for free if you signup with them. You had to be quick as he said he will only give away for 48 hours from the time they launch their site.

My friend was charged with no products to show for it. They ignore any requests or not responding to email.

I am so mad this happened.

Anyone else??

Sorry that happened to your friend. I know that happens a lot with websites now-a-days...

You know that the charge can be disputed with your bank. Call them up and tell them what happened...

This is a good thing to know. Most people would just moan but not know that they could actually do something about it. Thank you.

It always surprises me how little most people seem to know about their rights in regard to credit card and online payments.

Here's a "Cliff Notes" summary:

Credit Card Payments (online or offline)
  • You can lodge a dispute with your bank or credit card company and request a chargeback.
  • There's a time limit. Don't leave it too long. (Time limits vary.)
  • Keep all documentation related to the transaction.
  • Your bank or credit card company (whichever issued your card) will assess your claim. (If it seems fraudulent, vexatious or capricious to them, they'll decline it.)
  • If they decide to proceed, they'll notify the merchant and request their side of the story within 14 days. If the merchant fails to respond, the chargeback will be made against them.
  • Once the merchant's response is received, the bank/cc company will make a final decision on whether to allow your claim or not.
  • You should be notified either way.
PayPal Online Payments
  • Keep a record of all transaction details and all correspondence with the merchant.
  • There's a time limit! (Either 45 or 60 days... check to be sure.)
  • Log into your PayPal account.
  • Click on Resolution Centre (menu links, second row at top, below tabs).
  • Recommended: read Tips and Education (first tab, main panel).
  • When you're ready, click on Report a Problem (second tab, main panel) and lodge your dispute claim.
  • PayPal will notify the merchant and request a response.
  • If the merchant fails to respond, a refund will be made by PayPal from the merchant's account.
  • If the merchant responds, PayPal will assess both sides and make a determination, notifying both sides.
I'm not sure what other online payment processors do, but I understand they're much the same as those above.

If you're an online seller, using PayPal, be sure to get a copy of "Seller Beware! (How to avoid PayPal's lethal game of 'Pin the Tail on the Internet Marketing Donkey')"

(It's free and endorsed by marketers like Allen Says, Willie Crawford and others. Search for it on Google. I'm the author. )

Strange that she never responded back to anyone's questions.

I believe Anik Singal is associated with this & I thought he was a very ethical person.

Maybe she's just making up stories? Although I sort of had this happen to me once with Tellman.

P.S. How come I have no access to a sig line in my User CP?

That is surprising I have always heard good things about Brad I have used a couple of his products with no problems. Wonder if the friend disputed the charges, if she really did not receive the products she should not pay for someone not received. Hope it all worked out.

I've bought a product from Brad Callen before and was very satisfied. I've seen video of him speaking at various events and can't believe he does business unethically.
Most of these top marketers will give your money back without any hesitation, even if your reasons are suspect.
I did have a little trouble navigating the help process once. I believe it was a little confusing because all their products were handled at the same site and some of the product names are similar.
