There is a new threat to debit card users called "skimming." Skimming occurs when thieves set up a device that captures the magnetic stripe and keypad information from ATM machines and gas pumps. It is not very surprising that with the invent of new technologies the so-called old days thieves have become smart and they are finding new ways of cheating people. Regarding the Debit Card issue, I have read some reports in the paper.

If you want to purchase anything online through debit card,always be careful.Many banks have their online debit card protection tools to prevent cheating.You may try it.

I haven't heard of skimming before but this is a good information for me, thank you. The first reply was right, you can never be too careful these days. Why would people want to steal things from other people? They are so mean!
