Sometimes you really need to give your kids some breathing space.

30? LOL! That's a terribly long time to be under mom's radar.

Teach them how you think what you think and they'll be fine. Most kids which become too liberal wasn't taught the right fundamentals wanted by their parents and if you keep someone under wraps for too long, one day they might just burst the bubble and that could have some negative consequences as well.
